Company history

In 1980 Friedrich Linnemannn developped a quick release clamp for flange connections in the high vacuum technology and applied for a patent. His wife Ruth Linnemann founded the company SYSTEMTECHNIK LINNEMANN in 1981 to market the new development.

In the first few years of setting up the company, the product range for high-vacuum flange connections as per DIN 28403 and DIN 28404 and for special clamping ring connections as per ISO 2852 was gradually expanded step by step.

In 1985, all articles were systematically compiled for the first time and published in an overall catalogue. The success of this move quickly made its mark. Additional production rooms had to be rented but even so, there was simply not enough space.

The university town of Tübingen offered the possibility of purchasing a suitable plot of land and constructing a new company building. The company finally moved from Dettenhausen to Tübingen in July 1989.

The next few years continued to be marked by expansion. Numerous inventions were registered for patents. Technical innovations were followed through to series maturity. In 1992 the company was finally converted into a GmbH – a German limited liability company. The company's first exhibition appearance was in 1994 at the ACHEMA in Frankfurt/Main. A quality management system was introduced in 1996. In 1998, the production facilities were expanded considerably by commissioning a new building extension and the range of products as well as the number of customers at home and abroad grew steadily.

At the beginning of 2004 the carefully prepared corporate succession was realised. Ruth and Friedrich Linnemann handed over the in every aspect sound company to their three children Thomas, Martin, and Annette, who now head the firm as managing partners.

Quality

The quality management system was developed from the shown quality loop of the DIN ISO 9004. This quality loop describes the phases and activities, which can influence the quality of the products and services.

The quality management system corresponds to DIN EN ISO 9001 and is active in all parts of the company, i.e. not only in the production divisions but also in development, purchasing, sales, administration, the stores, goods receipt and shipment departments. The system has already been certified by TÜV-Südwest in 1996, and is continually optimised by regular staff training courses so that altogether a high standard of quality is guaranteed.
