| Back Press release: In the core inventive Stainless steel processing plant LINNEMANN started 25 years ago At the beginning of the company history stood a self-developed quick release clamp for flange connections, which Friedrich Linnemann offered to enterprises of the high vacuum technology. But neither the nationally nor the internationally operating manufacturers of high vacuum technical components made satisfying license offers to the inventor. Thus his wife Ruth Linnemann founded the company Systemtechnik LINNEMANN on the 9th November, 1981 to market the in the meantime patented development from the registered office Dettenhausen.
The workings began in own rooms. But after the activities had constantly increased and first employees had been recruited, further production rooms had to be rented. But the space conditions were soon again unsatisfactory. The possibility to acquire a suitable property for a new firm building was grabbed by the tuft. In July 1989 the company moved from Dettenhausen to the university town Tübingen. Since 1992 the company operates as LINNEMANN GmbH. In 1998 a substantial enlargement of the company area took place by moving into a hall extension.
When Annette, Martin and Thomas took over the management from their mother in January 2004, they had already been active in the enterprise for several years and before in other companies. The change of generation took place noiselessly. Today Annette Linnemann looks after purchase and management; development and technology speeds up Martin Linnemann; Thomas Linnemann leads sales and EDP. The three siblings act as managing partners. The business activity covers development, production and distribution of pipe connections and fittings as well as custom-made products made of stainless steel for gases, liquids and bulk materials. More than 12,000 articles are offered: from single flange components up to tubing systems ready for installation. Pipe connections, whereby the connecting flanges are coupled with the help of a quickly mountable clamp are the mainstays of sales since the company foundation. Two-digit growth Enterprises from the industrial branches chemistry, food, beverage, pharmacy, cosmetics, power stations, solar energy, medicine, semiconductor, high vacuum, filter technology, water treatment, cryogenics, and others use in production and research products made in Tübingen. Germany, the European foreign country as well as the USA and South Korea are the most important sales markets for LINNEMANN. In the export is gained approximately 16% of the enterprise proceeds. The turnover in the business year 2006 will lie about 20 per cent higher than in the previous year.
To date the enterprise history is affected by constant expansion, which was mastered under maintenance of product and delivery quality. A quality management system according to DIN EN ISO 9001:2000, and certified by the TÜV applied in all enterprise areas, on whose basis the specialist for high-grade steel connections works since 1996, guarantees a high quality standard. LINNEMANN has remained over the entire enterprise history not only expansive, but also innovative. The development of new products still belongs to the core competence. Numerous inventions were patented technical developments reached series-production readiness. Its innovation strength presents the Tübinger enterprise since 1994 regularly on the ACHEMA in Frankfurt/Main, the worldwide most significant fair for chemical technology, environment protection, and biotechnology. By the extension of the product range and the intensification of the export the LINNEMANN GmbH wants to expand their market position step by step. In addition, the business division of special products for the fulfilment of customer-related requirements is to be further strengthened.
